Another calm weekend [Dec. 14th, 2009|04:05 pm]

tambako
The weekend was rather calm, I was mostly at home except Saturday afternoon and evening.

Friday was a quite normal Friday, after work eat a bit, chores and used my computer for the evening and went to bed surprisingly early (a bit after midnight).

Saturday I woke up at 11AM or even later, had some things to do and had a breakfast and used my computer for many hours, also ate a bit and did small other things, but noting interesting... At 3PM I went to bring the empty bottle and at 3:30PM I took the bus and train to Zürich. I went to the Heuberger shop to look for presents for my brother and his wife and also for us at home. I took some boxes of special curry and the famous sauces, also hot honey and chocolate. I also gave him a poster of one of my pictures : http://www.flickr.com/photos/tambako/3149860119/ and he was really happy! He even gave me a sauce for free and also let me test a Spanish wine! :)
I then went to the shopping mall of the main station and then to the Christmas market in the main hall, I drank a Glühwein and bought two bags of tea, one for my mother and one for us. I then took the train to Oerlikon to meet with the furries like every month and the evening was quite nice, especially since Luxen was there again. Jashi also came, pfluftel and the others, etc. I ate and drank well, and we left at around midnight. At home I used my computer for a couple of hours.

Sunday morning, I woke up at around 11. I had a breakfast and used my computer, but also had some works in the house. Later, I cleared the eating table (removed my chili plants) and we ate a nice but special Chinese fondue, we took the time and at the end we were really full. We tidied up etc and used my computer for the next hours, I also had to sort the wash etc. I went to bed rather late and didn't sleep well, but fortunately I didn't feel too tired today.

Weekend at Pfluftel's place [Dec. 7th, 2009|11:37 am]

tambako
Friday was a rather normal day, after doing the chores, prepared my bag, etc and using the computer a bit, we went to the Migros when ryu came back from work and just after I took the bus and train to Pfluftel's place (he collected me as usual in Oensingen). He's now moved so I could discover his new apartment which is nice and big, just still lots of stuff everywhere but that's normal after only a few days, one cannot do everything! Besides Tsume and JayJay, there was also Rhondil who was in Switzerland for the weekend. We went to eat a pizza in the restaurant which is just besides the house and it was quite nice. Then we had a nice and relaxing evening and didn't go too late to sleep.

Saturday I woke up at around 10, had a coffee and sit down and talked with the others and then we went to walk the dog and I discovered the region. First I didn't believe my eyes when I saw a camel at a farm. We stayed a bit with her and pet her, I took some pictures, then walked further. Back at his home I tried Tsume's skateboard with an electric motor (and you have a radio remote control to set the speed), it's quite funny but not that easy. At this time I saw that a neighbor has two emus in his garden. Strange village with lots of animals one normally only see in zoos (and the name of the village is Wolfwil = Wolftown). The rest of the afternoon was nice, I used my laptop, watched TV, talked etc and the evening rather late we had a raclette for 5. It was yummy like every time when I'm at Pfluftel's place! :p That evening I also didn't go too late to bed.

Sunday was also quite relaxing, I woke up at 12, had a few coffees and sit on the sofa, using my laptop, watching TV, talking, etc, at a few things etc and then Pfluftel brought me to the train station and I came back home at around 7:15PM. I had a nice relaxing evening at home, used my computer and had a few things to do but not much and went too late to bed! :p

Annoyed as hell at my downstairs neighbors and Kitty Rescue part 1 [Dec. 6th, 2009|09:13 am]

hobbesdawg
So.. I have neighbors downstairs who like to let their cat roam outside. They have 2... that's the older one they let roam all the time.

They also have a younger one, about 8-9 months old who dashes out some times, and they don't really try very hard to catch him.

I left for a get together last night about 8pm. He was outside. So I knocked on the door, rang the door bell, but after about a minute no answer. So I figured they might be at the store or something.

Oh, did I mention it snowed all day and never went much about 24F yesterday? When I left last night it was about 18F.

Anyway I get home about 11:20ish and he's still outside. I knock and ring the bell again.. no luck. So I come upstairs, and take a bankers box, cut out most of one short side, fill it with towels, and get the cat, put him in it. He's pretty smart and figured it out.

I would have brought him in, but I have 2 cats of my own and I had no idea if their cat was up on his shots or anything - I'm not going to risk my own cats health.

Well I check this morning and yup, he comes out of the box when I open the front door. Gave him some water and food, checked later. Brought him in later on to the bathroom for about 10 minutes to warm him up. The suns out now, so I put him back out, also my cats were freaking.

POINT is, if anyone local wants to adopt a kitty to a good home, I'd be more than happy to help cat-nap him. It sounds extreme, but honestly these people gave up their right to the cat, IMO, when they left him outside all night in sub-freezing weather.

I don't want to call animal control cos all that'll happen is they'll pick him up and chances are he'll never get adopted and will be destroyed.

Anyone want to help out and get an adorable, affectionate black and white cat? He smells nice, so I'm sure he is up on shots/bathing, but still I can't risk it with my own cats, especially since one is 16 yrs old. I checked with one friend, waiting for him to wake up because I think he might, but... this is just fucked up man - no animal should be left out in that weather.
